A Personal Liaison for Customers.
Part Time
The Session Host acts as an ambassador for Skate City and our programs as well as a resource for customers. Our candidate needs an extremely fun and outgoing personality with a magnetic draw in order to share information on our skating programs and get interested customers registered. Our goal is to create skaters for life, and our Session Host will help promote all the ways we make this happen.
In addition to promoting our Skate Programs, the Session Host is a resource for new and beginning skaters, teaching the basics to skating at the beginning of session. We will train Session Hosts how to teach new skaters, our candidate just needs to be able to communicate well to customers of all ages.
Job Requirements
Instruction
The Session Host will need to be able to communicate very basic steps to learning to skate. It is our vision that the beginning of each session the Host is available to teach beginning skaters how to roll with more confidence. The goal is to maximize customer experience.
Sales and Product Knowledge
We want our customers to be familiar with all the ways they can engage in skating. We offer many Learn to Skate programs, Skate Memberships and we have some of the best birthday party packages in town! Our Session Host needs to be able to engage with customers and express the many programs we offer for families and individuals to spend time doing a fun, dynamic activity.
Photography
Our Session Host will need to be able to capture some of the excitement of our daily sessions so we can share with our customers on our media platforms.
Miscellaneous Rink Duties
During the busy sessions the rink is a fast-paced, ever changing environment. It is important that the Session Host be ready to help other staff if necessary.
Qualifications
Desired Skillset
Sales and People Skills: The Session Host needs to be versed in our products and able to express the benefits to customers. This will mean having great communication skills, people skills, and sales savvy to recognize the products that would best fit customer needs.
Desire to Learn: Teaching the basics to roller skating with confidence is an essential part of the Session Host’s responsibilities. Our candidate needs to be a good learner, picking up the skills to teaching these basics and recognizing what instruction each customer may need.
Energy: The Session Host is the representative of Skate City and should embody the energy of our sessions.
Flexibility: Each session brings its own dynamic and our Session Host will need to be able to adjust and focus on the high-priority areas within their job description.
